A woman living in Saltdean has been taken to court for being a noisy neighbour.
Michelle Reilly held two parties in the summer which started in the evening and went on into the early hours.
Brighton and Hove City Council, which took Reilly to court, said the noise drowned out her neighbours as they tried to sleep.
The council said: “As well as the music, neighbours were subjected to doors slamming, swearing and shouting.”
Reilly, of Timor House, Withyham Avenue, Saltdean, was given a conditional discharge for two years by Brighton magistrates.
She was also ordered to pay £250 in legal costs.
