The landlord of a Brighton pub has been fined more than £1,000 after a series of complaints about noise.
Adrian McGrory, who runs The Geese Have Gone Over The Water in Southover Street, Brighton, was also landed with a bill of £854 towards the council’s legal costs.
And he was ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge.
He was taken to court for breaching a noise abatement order imposed last October by Brighton and Hove City Council.
At Brighton Magistrates’ Court, the council said that he breached the order in the summer.
The council said that neighbours in this mainly residential area were subjected to loud dance music, shouting, cheering and singing late into the night.
