A milkman who was attacked while on his round in Whitehawk was threatened with smashed milk bottles.
The man was approached at about 2.30am yesterday (Saturday 4 September) in Camber Close, Brighton, by four men in hooded tops who demanded money from him.
When he told them that he had no cash, they smashed his milk bottles and threatened him with them.
They made off along Whitehawk Way.
Sussex Police urged any witnesses who may have seen or heard the attack or have any other information to call 0845 6070999.
Three years ago Asda suspended deliveries in Whitehawk after some of its drivers were attacked there.
