The RNLI Brighton lifeboat helped a crew of three back to shore after the engine failed on their yacht.
Solent Coastguard picked up a Pan Pan urgency call via VHF radio from the yacht shortly after 8am today.
The skipper had reported an oil pressure fault on board which had disabled their engine.
The lifeboat quickly arrived on the scene, south of Brighton Marina, making its way through a moderate sea and heavy rain.
A lifeboat crewman made his way onto the yacht and quickly established that all three people on the yacht were safe and well-prepared for the conditions.
A tow was passed and the yacht was safely returned to the marina, arriving back at 9.15am.
