Two passengers needed hospital treatment after the vehicle they were travelling in lost control whilst travelling northbound on the A23 London Road, Brighton, at the junction with Surrenden Road.
The incident happened at about 1.05am on Sunday, June 20 and involved a Hyundai Coupe, which was in collision with a lampost on the pavement before coming to a stop in woods.
A 17 year old woman from County Durham received serious injuries and a 25 year old Brighton man received slight injuries.
Both were taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Police would like to hear from any witnesses and would particularly like to hear from the driver of a dark coloured car – possibly a taxi – which was seen to stop at the time of the collsion.

Surrenden Road doesn’t have a junction with the A23. It runs from Preston Drove to Ditchling Road. 🙂
