Four of the six people injured in a crash on the A23 in Brighton early yesterday morning are still being treated in hospital for their injuries.
The crash, involving a black Renault Clio and a Vauxhall Astra, happened in London Road near the Black Lion pub.
Two of the Clio passengers remain in a serious condition in intensive care in the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
They are a 19-year-old from Rustington, who suffered leg and hip injuries, and a 19-year-old from Portslade, who broke a hand and her pelvis.
A 19-year-old passenger in the Clio, from Newhaven, who broke a leg, is in a serious but stable condition.
The 19-year-old driver of the Clio, from Worthing, suffered whiplash and injuries to her sternum. She was expected to be discharged from hospital last night.
The 26-year-old Brighton driver of the Vauxhall Astra suffered whiplash injuries and has been discharged from hospital.
An 18-year-old passenger in the Clio, from Lindfield, was taken to Worthing Hospital with facial injuries and broken ribs.
She was still in hospital late yesterday but her injuries were not thought to be life threatening.
The collision happened at 12.07am just south of the Black Lion pub in Patcham.
The Clio, with five young women inside, was travelling north when it was in collision with the Astra.
The vehicles then crashed into a parked silver Ford Focus and white Mercedes Sprinter van.
The road was closed for just under five hours while rescue, recovery and investigation work took place.
