Brighton-born jockey Ryan Moore has pulled off a remarkable double by winning not just the Epsom Derby, but also The Oaks.
Moore, 26, rode Workforce to victory in the Derby on Saturday, making him the first Brighton-born jockey to win the race – and the first since Kieron Fallon six years ago to win both the Epsom races.
Moore comes from a horse racing dynasty which is said to have started when his grandfather Charlie Moore swapped some car tyres for a horse in the car park of Brighton Racecourse.
Ryan began racing at Brighton, and his career blossomed when his father Gary took on a yard at Epsom.
