Grand National winning jockey Bob Champion is coming to Brighton Racecourse but he won’t be saddling up.
Champion, 61, who rode Aldaniti to victory at Aintree in 1981 after having testicular cancer, will be aiming to help businesses reach new markets.
He is the guest speaker at a race day organised by Celsius, a South London business organisation. The race day starts at 5.30pm on Tuesday 15 June.
The business club is encouraging its members to trade and expand into Brighton and Hove and the wider Sussex and the South East area.
Celsius comes under the umbrella of South London Business, which has a similar role to Sussex Enterprise in supporting, advising, promoting and representing businesses.
Executives will be paying £85 to attend the event. It includes speeches by Champion, whose story was turned into a film, and one of the team running Gatwick Airport, and the chance to make new business contacts.
