Do you fancy trying your hand at graffiti artwork or having a go at street dance? Or perhaps T-shirt printing is more your style or you fancy a laugh at a comedy improvisation workshop?
Taster sessions of all these are more are taking place as part of the Youth Arts Festival this weekend and there are still a few places left, open to young people age 11-18 years old.
The eight different workshops take place on Sunday 25 April at Brighton Youth Centre in Edward Street, Brighton. Timings are:
11am-12noon
Physical Theatre – games, exercises and techniques to develop theatre skills
Introduction to Rhythm – percussion and digital music sessions
12noon-1pm
Street Dance – circus and performing arts
T-shirt printing and customising
1.30pm-2.30pm
Vocal Workshop – improve singing and learn vocal techniques
Comedy Improvisation – introduction to comedy
2.30pm-3.30pm
Puppetry and Object Theatre – bring puppets and other objects to life
Graffiti on Canvas – create your own graffiti artwork
Julia Box, Youth Arts Development worker said: “This is a great way for our young people to have a go at lots of different activities and find out which they like best. Please do book a space in advance so that we can be sure that there is space for everyone.”
