A second motorcyclist has died on the A27 a few miles from the fatal crash on Thursday.
A 45-year-old man from Lancing died in the accident yesterday afternoon as he was heading towards Brighton.
The accident happened as a Renault Clio, driven by a 56-year-old man from Brighton, joined the A27 from the A283 at the Shoreham flyover.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Clio was taken to hospital suffering from shock.
Sussex Police is appealing for witnesses to the accident which happened just before 5.30pm.
It follows the death of a 55-year-old Portslade man on the A27 Brighton bypass between the Devil’s Dyke turn-off and the A23 slip road on Thursday morning.
