A man’s body has been recovered from a green Jaguar found upside down at the bottom of cliffs at Peacehaven this morning.
The alarm was raised by a member of the public who spotted the car near to the Meridian monument in Peacehaven just after 8.30am.
Police, fire, ambulance and coastguard services attended the scene, but the man, believed to be in his 60s, was found dead in the car.
Sussex Police are not treating the incident as suspicious and believe that they know the identity of the man, whose family have been informed.
