The Brighton and Hove Trade Union Council’s March for Jobs on Saturday saw hundreds of people march through the city centre in protest at job losses.
Here’s a round-up of coverage from the day.
First, an account with words and pictures from the council’s blog itself, written by Peter Knight. He writes: “‘They say cut back, we say fight back’ was the chant that roared through the streets of Brighton on Saturday as hundreds of working class trade union activists and campaigners brought the city’s streets to a standstill.”
On his People’s Republic of Hove blog, Andy Richards has posted a video of Atilla the Stockbroker and his song of support, and also pictures from the march.
Finally, The Argus has spoken to people on the march about why they took part.
