London Road is set to get its own business directory to encourage residents to shop locally – and this could lead to a loyalty card scheme.
The Another London Road group, formed to oppose now-defunct plans for a Tesco superstore in the area in 2008, is planning several projects for 2010 to find grass roots ways to revitalise the area.
It wants to set up a London Road Directory, containing details of shops in the area to encourage residents who don’t shop locally to support their neighbourhood shops.
This may then lead to a loyalty card scheme similar to the one in operation at Fiveways.
