A teenage boy was left with a suspected broken jaw after being punched in the face by a group of yobs outside the kebab shop next to Yates’ in West Street this week.
The 19-year-old victim was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, after being attacked by four or five men on Tuesday at about 10pm.
An 18-year-old man and a 15-year-old male youth, both from Eastboune, were arrested on suspicion of GBH in North Street, Brighton, at around 11.15pm on the night of the assault. They have been released on bail until April 3.
Police are still looking to trace the other group members. One of the suspects is described as being in his late teens to early twenties, of mixed race, with short curly black hair, slight moustache with clean shaven chin, wearing a custard coloured long sleeve round neck jumper, dark trousers or jeans and an earring on one ear.
Detective Constable Amanda Payne said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation and would urge anyone who may have seen this group in the vicinity of West Street or with information about the assault to come forward.”
