Three men forced their way into a seafront flat and assaulted a young man before escaping with cash, an iphone a camera.
The gang burst into the Madeira Place flat and demanded money from the 26-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman at about 6.30pm on Tuesday. The man suffered a dislocated shoulder during the burglary.
They escaped by running up the steps onto Madeira Place and heading towards the pier.
The three suspects are described as white, aged 19-24 and wearing balaclavas. Two of the men are around 5’10” and of medium to heavy build. One was wearing a blue/grey hooded top. The other was wearing a black hooded top and blue jeans. The third man is around 5’7″ and of a light to medium build.
Detective Constable Sapna Patel said: “An investigation is underway and we are appealing for witnesses to come forward.”
