Police have released images of a man suspected of a stabbing in Brighton.
He is pictured with another man running up Ship Street after an attack outside the Thistle Hotel in King’s Road in July.
The two men are believed to have taken a taxi from outside Marks and Spencer in Western Road, which headed up Queen’s Road towards Brighton Station.
The 22-year-old victim needed emergency surgery after the stabbing, which at happened shortly before 3am on Sunday 19 July.
He suffered injuries which were described by Sussex Police as “life changing”.
Detective Constable Stewart Cameron, said: “The men may have been breathing hard and sweating, and may have had blood on them when they got in the taxi.
“I am appealing for the taxi driver, or anyone with information about this vicious attack, to come forward.”
