The family of a girl who died at a party in Brighton on Saturday have issued a statement.
Adrian Price, the grandfather of 14-year-old Gabrielle Price spoke for her parents, Chris and Angie, and the rest of the family when he said: “We would like to thank everybody who have been so kind and supportive at this dreadfully sad time.
“Gabi, as she was widely known, was a lively and lovely girl, whose untimely death has left an enormous hole in the lives of her family and wide circle of friends.
“She was a fun-loving person and the many tributes that have been paid to her reflect what a wonderful young woman she was.
“She was a fantastic daughter and granddaughter. A shining light has been extinguished and will never be re-lit.”
Gabi, of Coleridge Crescent in Worthing, is believed to have died from a heart attack after attending a party in Birdham Road, Moulsecoomb.
Sussex Police are investigating whether Gabi, who attended Davison CE High School for Girls in Worthing, had taken any drugs before she died.
A 39-year-old woman from Brighton and a 17-year-old male from Hove have been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs and released on bail until January.
