If you see a bunch of arty types clutching pads and pencils this weekend, you’ve probably stumbled across Brighton’s first SketchCrawl.
Myfanwy Nixon is inviting anyone from novices to seasoned sketchers to come and wander round Brighton, drawing as they go.
The results will then be posted on Flickr.
Myfanwy said: “Sometimes it’s hard to pick up that pen and sketchbook… but here’s an opportunity to get some proper drawing in.”
She added: “There’s no need to be a great artist – indeed, we are far from that ourselves. The aim is to have fun, to meet new people, and to provide an opportunity to sketch.”
SketchCrawl is a global event and this Saturday marks its fifth birthday.
The crawl will kick off by the big windows on the ground floor of the Jubilee Library at midday. Sketchers should bring drawing materials, warm clothes and cash for coffees or drinks.
