A pensioner was bundled to the floor by burglars posing as FedEx couriers who went on to steal £2,000 in cash from her Hollingbury home.
The 62-year-old woman was left shaken by the raid at her flat in Birchgrove Crescent at 7.10pm on Friday, November 13.
The two burglars took a package to the door, and then when she opened the door they forced their way in.
Detective Sergeant Steve Tattersall said: “The victim opened the door and they rushed in and bundled her to the floor. They grabbed her and ransacked the house.
“The woman was very shaken up.”
The men, who were first seen in the area at 8.30am that morning, also took jewellery and computer equipment.
Both men were white. The first was 5ft 10in with short dark hair, brown eyes and a long skinny face. He was wearing a black hooded top and dark trousers.
The second man was about 5ft 8in, with very fair skin, freckles and strawberry blond hair. He was wearing a mid-thigh length, zip up, black jacket. Both were seen wearing yellow rubber gloves.
