Fire crews were called out to two fires in Brighton last night (Monday 7 November) – both of which were found to have started by accident.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 7.53pm yesterday two Brighton crews were sent to Upper Lewes Road, in Brighton, where they tackled an accidental oven fire in a kitchen, which was out on arrival.
“A home safety visit was carried out following the incident.
“At 8.44pm yesterday Brighton firefighters were sent to a car fire in The Avenue, Moulsecoomb.
“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to tackle the accidental fire.”
