Brighton fire crews needed the aerial ladder for three separate jobs in 12 hours.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 5.13pm yesterday (Thursday 7 July) two Brighton appliances, along with Eastbourne’s aerial ladder platform, were mobilised to Sussex Terrace, in Brighton, after a fire was reported in the scaffolding of a property. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to tackle the fire.
“At 10.59pm yesterday three Brighton appliances, including the aerial ladder platform, were mobilised to Regency Square, in Brighton, after reports of a fire on a first-floor balcony, which was out on arrival.
“At 4.56am this morning (Friday 8 July) three appliances from Roedean and Brighton, including the aerial ladder platform, were mobilised to a property in Kemp Town, in Brighton, following reports of an electrical fire in an intake cupboard, which was out on arrival.”
