A singing school for children in Hove is to open a branch in Brighton.
Vocademy runs singing classes at Monster Studios in Basin Road, Hove, helping children to become pitch perfect and gain confidence.
The new school is to open at the Brighton Electric Studios in Tramway House, Coombe Terrace, off Lewes Road, on Mondays.
The aim is to give more youngsters the chance to try singing in a fun atmosphere.
While the children can enjoy singing their favourite songs they are also given technical and performance tips from experts.
Vocademy is offering free taster sessions for children to try out the classes in Brighton using the latest hits to get them started.
The singing school’s manager Sam Black said: “The Hove school is doing really well but we’re conscious that there are so many children on the other side of the city who might want to get involved but live too far away.
“The new school will mean children anywhere in the city will be able to get to singing lessons from home in less than 30 minutes.
“The pupils we have love the classes that we run and we’d like to see children getting involved in music too.
“Brighton is a vibrant musical city and we want to help its young people to achieve their creative potential.”
Vocademy was set up by Damian Keyes, one of the founders of the Brighton Institute of Modern Music (BIMM), five years ago.
It runs ten-week singing courses at sites across Sussex and in Hampshire, Kent and Birmingham for children aged 7 to 18 years old.
All the teachers are qualified and have undergone the appropriate checks. The courses cost £120 for a 10-week term.
